Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, schedule maintenance procedures, and manage inventory on the service truck. What You Will Do
Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, schedule and overlook maintenance procedures, repair/replace vehicle/trailer components, and accurately complete DOT forms and documentation.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate is self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills, able to work second or third shifts, and possess proper tools. High school education or equivalent is required, and certifications are a plus. Welding experience is also a plus.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred
- Communication skills
- Ability to work second or third shifts
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- Must possess proper tools
