Role OverviewJoin Prestige Fleet Services, a locally run, family-oriented company serving your community, as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic. You will work with a mechanically savvy team, utilizing cutting-edge technology to reduce admin time and focus on doing what you love. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work extended and/or irregular hours.
What You Will Do
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, schedule and overlook maintenance procedures, repair/replace vehicle/trailer components, and accurately complete DOT forms and documentation.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills, able to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders, and possess proper tools. High school education or equivalent, certifications, and welding experience are a plus.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- Communication skills
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours
- Valid Driver’s License
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- Must possess proper tools
