Role Overview

The Mobile Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for maintaining vehicle/equipment by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle/equipment deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records. The position works under the direction of the Fleet Manager and is accountable for the tasks of troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility vehicle/equipment to support daily work activities while maintaining safety objectives and company processes.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must be willing to travel to different branch locations as needed using company provided service truck. May require occasional overnight stay. ASE Certified preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

  • Must have electrical and drivability diagnostic experience.
  • 1-3 years of Mechanic experience of Diesel and Gas engines for on-highway vehicles.
  • Light/Medium/Heavy Duty Vehicle & Trailer Repair Experience - Required.
  • Off-Highway equipment experience such as front-end loaders, skid steers, mini excavators, forklifts.
  • Experience in performing Annual Federal DOT Inspections.
  • Class A CDL preferred but not mandatory.
