Role Overview

The Mobile Community Health Worker provides patient-centered HIV/STI/Hepatitis C testing and health education; supports clinical care on mobile and clinic-based units; delivers risk reduction counseling and PrEP/Hepatitis C linkage; and conducts community outreach to expand access to prevention and treatment.

What You Will Do

Conduct medical intake, prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during exams, explain procedures to patients, perform Rapid Tests for Pregnancy, UTIs, STIs, maintain infection control/safety procedures, and clean/sterilize rooms.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Community Health Worker certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a related field preferred, relevant college-level coursework may substitute for experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification required
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required
