Role OverviewThe Model Based Systems Engineer III will serve as a senior technical expert responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining advanced system models in support of complex engineering programs at NSWC Crane. This role applies deep knowledge of MBSE methodologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance system design, validation, and lifecycle management across high-visibility projects.
What You Will Do
Lead the development and implementation of MBSE architectures, models, and workflows for large-scale systems. Apply expert knowledge of MBSE methodologies and frameworks to guide project teams and ensure modeling rigor and consistency. Develop and refine system models using industry-standard MBSE tools and techniques.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience performing Model Based Systems Engineering in complex engineering environments.
- Expert knowledge of MBSE methodologies, standards, and frameworks (e.g., SysML-based approaches).
- Demonstrated expertise with MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or equivalent.
- Proficiency with UML for systems modeling and documentation.
- Active SECRET clearance required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
