Role Overview

The Model Based Systems Engineer will develop models, architectural products, and digital artifacts for a System of Systems (SoS) in accordance with standards, best practices, policies, and procedures. This role is an integral team member supporting assured Command and Control capabilities for our DoD customer within the Navy Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in San Diego, CA. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to modernize naval capabilities, requiring a minimum SECRET clearance with a preference for Top Secret (TS) eligibility.

What You Will Do

Apply modeling to support a system or system of systems (SoS) requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle phases. Manage/coordinate information and resources to meet digital thread-related objectives. Implement a model-based culture, leveraging capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure of the organization.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have four (4) years of professional experience performing Model Based Systems Engineering, with experience working with cross-platform collaborative MBSE/digital environments. Knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework/Unified Architecture Framework (DoDAF/UAF) is also required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations research, or other sciences where advanced math skills are utilized
