Role OverviewASRC Federal is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy's Aegis Weapons System. The role requires onsite work with no remote or hybrid options. The successful applicant will work with technical analysis of modeling and simulation of data sets, flight characteristics, and missile systems.
What You Will Do
The Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer will be responsible for technical analysis of modeling and simulation of data sets, familiarity with flight characteristics, motion, and performance of missile systems, and experience with scripting/automation languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
- 2-4 years of relevant experience or 0-2 years' experience with a Master's Degree
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
- Experience with technical analysis of modeling and simulation of data sets
- Familiarity with flight characteristics, motion, and performance of missile systems
- Familiarity with hard body heating of objects and their corresponding signature representation
- Experience with Verification and Validation of modeling and simulation of signatures data
- Experience with scripting/automation languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB
- Strong math, physics, and/or engineering background
- Previous experience with analyzing flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters of ballistic missiles
- Strong background in missile system engineering performance
- Mastery of engineering modeling principles behind body motion, trajectory analysis, counter measures, debris, and signature modeling
- Background in IR Signatures modeling
- Familiarity with Optical Signatures Code (OSC)
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
