Role OverviewThe Mortgage Loan Originator will promote and provide business development, origination of loans, relationship management with customers and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of mortgage banking, including lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory timelines. The successful candidate will be able to work overtime, travel overnight, and provide weekend coverage in builder communities and grand opening functions.
What You Will Do
The Mortgage Loan Originator will interview mortgage applicants, understand their financing options, and provide necessary disclosures in a timely manner. They will also review new leads daily, contact them to earn their business, and maintain reports and notes within the origination software and customer relationship management systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, one to two years of related experience, and a valid driver's license. They should possess strong written and oral communication skills, be able to accurately and efficiently process and record a large volume of data, and be willing to accept constructive criticism.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- One to two years of related experience and/or training
- Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state
- Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
