Job Description
Mortgage Loan Originator Trainee works closely with a Mortgage Loan Originator on production and origination activities, helping with the application process and managing loans in the pipeline to ensure timely approval, denial, or withdrawal. The role involves shadowing mortgage personnel to learn the mortgage origination process and taking courses to gain in-depth knowledge of the mortgage loan process and sales skills.

Requirements

  • Completes rigorous training program within timeframes set by management and the mortgage training department
  • Obtains knowledge and understanding of withdrawal and denial procedures
  • Maintains high levels of customer service while managing each applicant's and support staff's expectations
  • Works with Mortgage Marketing for a clear understanding of marketing procedures in relation to print, social media and all other forms of marketing
  • Analyzes financial data to determine creditworthiness
  • Attends and participates in all lending meetings
  • Obtains a clear understanding of mortgage interest rates, credit reports and AUS responses
  • Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned
