Role OverviewThe MOT Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining Maintenance of Traffic equipment (MOT). This equipment includes Message Boards, Arrow Boards, Speed Radar Boards, Portable Regulatory Boards, and utility trailers. The ideal candidate will need to be familiar with Series and Parallel electrical circuits in relation to battery configurations.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license required
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- 12 Volt diagnostic ability with CPU, PCB, Solar Regulatory Chargers, & Character Panel wiring
- Welding/fabrication ability
- Understanding of basic hydraulic motor and cylinder functions
- Ability to work on small equipment Trailers
- Ability to determine equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
- Ability to maintain equipment appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting
- Ability to maintain equipment records by annotating services and repairs
- Ability to keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. evaluating service and parts options.
