Job Description
The New York City Department of Housing Preservation Development (HPD) is seeking a Move and Portability Specialist to assist in the administration of rental subsidy programs, including Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), Project Based Voucher (PBV), and others. The selected candidate will perform case processing and case management functions, provide customer service, and conduct projects to improve tenant-management relations.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in community work or community centered activities
  • Excellent Communication Skills (both orally and in writing)
  • Call center/ Customer Service experience a plus
  • Great active listening skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Bilingual a Plus
  • Section 8 or other Rental Subsidy experience a Plus
