Job Description
Will consider new graduates. Radiology candidates who accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are eligible for: Competitive hourly rate, Enhanced PTO for candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience, Sign-on bonus ($10,000 for full-time or $5,000 for part-time), Tuition reimbursement after six months, Career Ladder Progression, Free Parking. As a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate MRI scanners, ensure that the procedure produces quality images and information for the health care professional to make an accurate diagnosis, and work directly with patients to ensure they are comfortable and calm.
Requirements
Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values
Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics
Performs MRI scans as directed by radiologist, and, once orientation and training are completed, independently conducts scans if ARRT-registered
Patient care during visit to MRI
Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment
Assures a safe and clean environment
Maintains knowledge of technical skills
Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment
Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently implementing special procedure technology in the MR area
Uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department
Collaborates effectively and in a timely manner with co-workers and clinical staff
Clear knowledge of modality specific equipment, computers, PACS, EMR and RIS
Uses a variety of equipment specific to the area, including MR scanners, power injectors, and various computers
Demonstrates effective organizational, written and oral communication skills
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
Ability to perform procedures specific to area
Answers phones and arranges schedule for in-patient request
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and coworkers
Performs other duties as assigned
