Role OverviewThis position is accountable for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures which produce high quality of diagnostic digital exams. Works on a level not requiring constant supervision while demonstrating advanced MRI skills and following protocols established for a various age groups of patients.
What You Will Do
Performs a variety of general technical (IV skilled) MRI procedures that will require judgement and initiative for radiological diagnosis. Verifies prescriptions, administers contrast, and positions patients for exams.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a 2 year radiologic technology program from an accredited school
- Current and valid Florida State License (CRT)
- Current and valid Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry MRI (MR) registry OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
- Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association (CPR)
- Knowledge & skill performing MRI general procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform MRI imaging including body mechanics and patient movement
- Knowledge of safety requirements for staff, patients and visitors
- Skill in positioning patients properly
- Skill in using computer network system competently to process patient and department information
- Skill in performing quality exams and exercising compassion with patients
- Skill in IVs for administration of contrast materials
- Skill in completing job functions in a timely manner
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and clinic policies including safety, privacy and HIPAA regulation
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians and other staff
