Role OverviewThe MRI Technologist provides clinical services according to MRI practice standards and acts as a resource to MRI students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions.
What You Will Do
Administers sound patient care practices, communicates effectively with patients, assists physicians in performing examinations, and performs routine maintenance of imagers/processors.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Prior experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and/or MRI Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment is preferred.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiography
- MRI certification from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT)
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nuclear medicine with MRI training (must be MRI Registry eligible through ARRT)
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in radiography
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT)
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification 18 months upon acceptance of the offer
