Role OverviewThe Multi-Site Environmental Manager (MSEM) is responsible for supporting environmental compliance at Southern California Amazon Last Mile Delivery Stations in California. The MSEM assists in implementation and enforcement of standards and policies to support environmental and regulatory compliance and provide guidance for operations, maintenance, and construction teams.
What You Will Do
Manage and oversee local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy. Develop strategic programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations. Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This is a hands-on position that includes time spent in the yard and on the floor of busy delivery stations conducting inspections and audits, taking samples, providing guidance to other employees, ensuring proper waste classification, and dealing with multiple departments and all levels of employees throughout the operation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field of study
