Role Overview

The Divisional Music Director will provide leadership, direction, and creative programming for all phases of the Music Program in the Western Pennsylvania Division. The DMD will work with the Program Secretary to implement, strengthen, and coordinate all the music ministry programs within the Western PA Division.

What You Will Do

Promote the establishment of active music ministry programs, create music ministry programs, assume leadership of the Divisional Music Commission, and develop a music curriculum for brass, voice, piano, and guitar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in music education or related field or equivalent experience
  • Committed, mature Christian that will uphold The Salvation Army's mission statement
  • Minimum of five years prior experience working in the music field supervision experience
  • Must have a driver's license and be able to clear The Salvation Army's insurance, in order to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
  • Must wear a uniform and attend a Corps for worship weekly
  • Must be clear of any state/federal violations/abuse of children
