Role OverviewThe National Service Officer completes a comprehensive training program to become familiar with laws and regulations dealing with veterans benefits and represents veterans with claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs. The role involves participating in office management, developing benefits claims, and participating in chapter and community activities. The position requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
What You Will Do
The National Service Officer will participate in all aspects of office management, develop benefits claims, and participate in chapter and community activities. They will also develop a thorough knowledge of Department of Veterans Affairs laws, regulations, and procedures, and learn to develop and maintain an active and effective outreach program.
