Role OverviewWe are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Natural Resources Technician 3 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft. The position will work at Sycamore State Park, headquartered in Montgomery County. The work hours/days for this position will vary based on the season.
What You Will Do
Act as a lead worker over personnel performing labor & maintenance functions; maintain campground facilities, grounds &/or equipment; interact daily with a variety of customers who utilize the park facilities; provide general customer services &/or support for facilities & grounds.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This is a part-time position, budgeted for approximately 1560 hours/fiscal year. The starting hourly pay is $23.28/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 4.5 years of service, with an end salary of $26.54/hr.
Requirements
- 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in safety practices
- 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in use of shop, hand & power tools & light equipment
- 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in carpentry, electrical repair & plumbing
- 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in equipment operation, maintenance & repair (e.g., tractors with attachments)
- valid driver’s license
- 6 mos. exp. as Natural Resources Technician 2, 22622
- equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment
