Job Description
The Advanced Rigger is responsible for preparation, installation and operation of rigging gear and equipment, and travels to various locations. This position requires 3+ years of construction experience, a minimum score of 70% on Riggers Skills Test, and active status in DISA drug testing program.

Requirements

  • Receives and understands instructions and prints regarding work assignment
  • Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions
  • Inspects rigging gear and equipment for suitability for use
  • Interprets lift plans and prepares components for lift
  • Identifies safety hazards and takes corrective action
  • Measures and assesses plumbness, levelness, alignment prior to performing lifting, hoisting or pulling operations
  • Obtains and maintains active status in DISA drug testing program
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Understands load capacity charts and specifications
  • Knowledge of crane hand signals
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Knowledge of safety monitoring equipment and its use
