Role Overview

This position will handle daily functions for the North Carolina Turnpike Authority (NCTA) Financial Operations unit, supporting accounting for toll operations. The role will report to the NCTA Financial Operations Assistant Manager and handle daily activities, including analyzing bank activity, reconciliations, and providing assistance for routine and non-routine requests.

Responsibilities include analyzing daily bank activity, reconciling various payment methods, understanding business rules, applying financial standards, and providing assistance for information requests. The role must manage and report transactions from multiple systems, reconcile data, and research differences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • 18 semester hours of accounting coursework
  • Two years of professional accounting/auditing experience
  • Experience reconciling cash or cash flows, account receivables, and bank accounts independently
  • Experience researching and analyzing large amounts of data
  • Experience using banking systems or applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and General Ledger system (e.g., SAP)
