Requirements

  • Grain Laue Level 2 inspector inspects casting grain and makes accept / reject decisions based on acceptance criteria.
  • Places parts in fixtures and takes Laue X-ray images.
  • Uses templates to measure single crystal grain angle
  • Aligns castings on Laue unit.
  • Processes casting in accordance with approved Laue techniques.
  • Verifies grain structures are acceptable to required techniques.
  • Monitors working area to protect personnel.
  • Performs daily equipment preparation and radiation safety inspections.
