Role OverviewWe are seeking a talented Network Engineer to design and implement integrated, scalable on-premises platforms in support of our government customer in Chantilly, VA. As a Network Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with systems architects, design and deploy functional networks, and work on teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases.
What You Will Do
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and implementing customer networks, investigating and resolving operational problems, working on teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases, and managing IP address space allocation and tracking IP address permanent assignments.

Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with current Polygraph required
- U.S. Citizenship required for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining a clearance
- Bachelors degree
- 5-7 years of relevant networking experience
- DoD 8140 IAT II Level certification (e.g. Security+ CE, GSEC, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, CND, SSCP)
- At least 5 years working with Juniper and Cisco routers and switches, firewalls deployment, configuration, and migration
- Working knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms, services, architectures/designs, and best practices
