Role OverviewJoin our U.S. Customs and Border Protection Enterprise Network Architecture & Engineering Services Support (ENAESS) team in Ashburn, Virginia. This role involves designing, testing, and implementing network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The environment is large, well-instrumented, and genuinely complex, with active migration and colocation work in front of it.
What You Will Do
Engineer, design, test, and implement network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Work within and extend the Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure fabric. Implement and tune load balancing across F5 Local Traffic Manager and Global Traffic Manager. Support colocation implementation, data center migration, and equipment relocation activities.

Requirements
- US citizenship
- Ability to pass a five-year CBP background investigation (SF-85P, Public Trust)
- 6 to 7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10 to 11 years without a degree
- Production experience with Cisco routing and switching
- Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls, load balancers, and DMZ architecture
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security principles
- Ability to produce design documentation to a standard that survives peer and security review
- Willingness to travel approximately 35%
