Role OverviewCarShield is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, implement, monitor, and manage the organization's local and wide area networks, helping maintain secure, reliable connectivity and maximum availability for users across the business.
What You Will Do
Design and implement new network solutions, install and configure network infrastructure, configure firewalls and routing, administer web application firewalls, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, switching, and firewall issues.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of networking experience, strong understanding of networking technologies, and experience working in an IT service management environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least four years of networking experience and two years of cloud engineering experience
- Strong understanding of switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN appliances
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, IPsec, network segmentation, VRFs, switching, VLANs, routing, and load balancers
- Current knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization, security, and observability
- Scripting experience supporting automation and infrastructure-as-code deployments
- Knowledge of SNMP monitoring and device management
- Experience working in an IT service management environment with strong technical documentation practices
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues efficiently and drive them to resolution
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with direction when needed
