Role Overview

Transform technology into opportunity as a Network Engineer with GDIT. In this role, you will support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Information Operations Enterprise Enclave (IOEE) and Information Operations Secure Enterprise Enclave (IOSEE) Engineering Support Services program in Springfield, VA. This is a hybrid position with onsite requirements once per week at minimum, plus onsite support at the DLA facility for SIPR-related tasks.

What You Will Do

Plan, execute, and document comprehensive laboratory assessments of hardware, software, and configuration changes that could affect the DLA network or interconnectivity across cloud, core, and remote sites. Coordinate with government customers to develop Technology Assessment Plans, Change Implementation Plans (CIP), and Enterprise Change Requests (ECR). Prepare detailed After Action Reports and produce formal engineering documentation for executive-level briefings.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance with SSBI (Tier 5) or Top-Secret clearance
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant network engineering experience
  • Required Certifications: CCNA and IAT Level II compliant certification (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, CCNA Security, CND, or GICSP)
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols, including but not limited to OSPF, BGP, MPLS, LDP, STIG compliance, routing/switching, and multi-vendor network devices
  • Experience with wired, wireless, voice, and video technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, provide updates, and meet onsite requirements
  • Possession of a U.S. passport or ability to obtain one within 60 days
