Role OverviewAs a Principal Engineer at Arrcus, you will work closely with top-notch talent to redefine networking. You will be responsible for writing feature specs, implementing improvements, and evaluating third-party libraries. You will also lead a team, drive engineering-wide initiatives, and participate in architecture and design.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include writing feature specs, implementing improvements, triaging and resolving issues, evaluating and integrating third-party libraries, and peer reviewing engineering documents. You will also help with interview and onboarding processes and work with customer and product teams to understand new requirements.

This role requires 15+ years of relevant hands-on development experience in technologies such as Linux OS internals, networking, high availability, and containers. Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent degree
- Ability to write high-quality C/C++/Go/Python code
- Expert in using AI tools for development, review, and building shareable tools
- 15+ years of relevant hands-on development experience in some of the following technologies: Linux OS internals, Kernel, memory management, Networking - TCP/IP, Routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/ISIS) and security protocols (IPSEC/TLS/MACsec), High Availability and ISSU, Containers, Virtual Machines (VM), Orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes, Docker, KVM, Hands on experience with one or more of the following public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Proficiency in DevOps tools like Terraform, Helm
