Role OverviewThe Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Network Modeling and Simulation Engineer to lead and perform trade studies, analyses, and simulations of space network architectures. The selected candidate will work full-time on-site at the Aerospace El Segundo, CA facility.
What You Will Do
Lead/participate in multi-disciplinary engineering teams in development and analysis of future network architectures and requirements, analyze and simulate complex network architectures and protocols, engage in systems architecture definition, development, analysis, modeling & simulation, and prototype development/validation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, analysis, and modeling & simulation, with experience in software development in Python or C/C++. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis, OSI and TCP/IP models and in network design, analysis, and modeling & simulation
- Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols
- Experience in software development in Python or C/C++
- Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports
- Willing to travel, as needed (up to 10%)
