Role Overview

M9 Solutions is seeking a Network System Engineer to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Scottsdale, AZ. The role involves designing and implementing network plans, analyzing network topologies, and troubleshooting networks of varying classifications. The position requires extensive work at a computer in an office environment and may involve travel to deployment sites in the U.S. and abroad.

Responsibilities include documenting network plans, installing components, configuring services, analyzing network topologies, and troubleshooting networks. The position also involves implementing security configurations, performing network diagnostics, and identifying required corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Six (6) years of experience integrating and configuring switches, routers, firewalls, and gateways in data communications systems with IP version 4 and associated TCP and UDP protocols
  • Experience in at least two (2) of the following topics with proven demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years
  • One (1) year of experience as a computer systems manager/operator on Microsoft or LINUX-based computing environments
  • One (1) year of experience managing and working on local area network (LAN) administration, operation, and architecture with a minimum of 30 client systems
  • Specific working experience of management of a mixture of Windows and LINUX computing environments
  • Must be familiar with virtualization techniques - simulating a hardware platform, operating system (OS), storage device, or network resources
