Role OverviewAn Associate Professor position is available in the St-Pierre lab in the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine. The applicant will characterize and apply novel light-responsive proteins to advance tools for imaging and controlling neural activity.
What You Will Do
Characterize light-gated ion channels, evaluate GEVI performance, perform structure-function analysis, discover and clone novel channelrhodopsins, and analyze data using commercial software and custom pipelines.

Requirements
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field
- Postdoctoral experience in neuroscience, electrophysiology, and optical imaging
- Experience with patch clamp electrophysiology, fluorescence and two-photon microscopy, and commercial software and custom pipelines
