Job Description
The Nevada Gold Mines Next Generation Bursary Program is designed to support students who specialize in technical engineering fields and reduce educational costs, provide paid internships, and secure post-graduation employment. The program seeks to select and provide financial support to dependent children of NGM employees who are well-motivated to achieve excellence in higher education, determined to succeed in the mining industry, and become future leaders of NGM.

Requirements

  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 26 at the time the application is received
  • Must be a dependent child of an active Nevada Gold Mines employee
  • Must be a graduating high school senior or a high school graduate, a recipient of a General Education Diploma (GED), or a current undergraduate enrolled in a full-time course of study at an accredited college or university in the United States
  • Must meet the minimum admission requirements of the college or university
  • Must maintain a declared bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, geotechnical engineering, geological engineering, geology, metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or mechanical engineering at the college or university
  • Must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or above on a 4.0 scale
