Role OverviewJoin us in making a difference in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns as a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician. As a newborn hearing screen technician, you will provide hearing screens in the hospital after a baby is born. You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss. At Pediatrix, you will receive on-the-job training.
What You Will Do
Perform hearing screens and provide education to parents on the relevance of hearing screens and the importance of early intervention. Evaluate each patient for “screen readiness” prior to performing a screen.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required
- One to three months of previous experience with newborns and in a medical setting
