Job Description:
No-Code AI Learning Assistants (LAs) play a pivotal role in empowering students to become independent learners in the field of no-code Artificial Intelligence. They facilitate the development of critical thinking skills, boost confidence, and nurture the ability to solve AI problems autonomously.
Responsibilities:
- Guide students individually or in small groups, fostering their comprehension of content and equipping them with the necessary skills for mastering no-code AI tools. This includes offering subject-area expertise and mentoring on effective strategies, techniques, and attitudes for successful learning outcomes.
- Attend all classes related to the course at Evanston Township High School or Glenbrook South High School where you serve as an LA.
- Participate in weekly preparation meetings with faculty and provide support to students as required.
- Complete requisite documentation for student visits to office hours.
- Adhere to the established schedule and ensure punctuality for all LA sessions.
- Attend mandatory pedagogy sessions and kickoff meetings for LAs.
- Demonstrate respect for diversity, uphold ethical standards, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Familiarize yourself with available student support services and resources, making appropriate referrals or communicating with managers or instructors as needed.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Successfully complete a computer programming course and/or a math course equivalent to pre-calculus or higher.
- Successfully pass the interview process.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and a positive attitude when collaborating with others.
- Provide a positive referral from faculty or staff within the relevant course.
Additional Information:
Compensation:
$16.00 per hour as a casual employee
Approximately: 10 hours per week.
Will need to successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
