Role OverviewThe Youth Advocate will provide direct support to youth in employment, education, and entrepreneurial activities, strengthening youth engagement across NSC projects and empowering young people to achieve personal and professional goals.
What You Will Do
Provide one-on-one advocacy, mentorship, and case management to young people ages 16–24, connect youth to opportunities, and facilitate/co-facilitate youth-centered workshops.

Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, youth development, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 2 years of experience working directly with youth, preferably in community-based or school-based settings
- Strong understanding of challenges facing youth impacted by violence, trauma, or systemic inequities
- Knowledge of employment, education, and entrepreneurship resources in NYC
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong organizational and data management skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices
