Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Nuclear Safeguards and Materials Control & Accountability (MC&A) Analyst to join our team. In this critical role, you will ensure compliance with nuclear safeguards regulations, develop and implement MC&A programs, and support operations by maintaining accurate material control and inventory tracking at a nuclear fuel cycle facility.
Requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain MC&A programs to ensure compliance with NRC, DOE, and international safeguards regulations.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on nuclear material balances, inventories, and movements to ensure accountability and regulatory compliance.
Analyze and reconcile discrepancies in nuclear material accounting and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation related to nuclear material control and safeguards.
Perform nuclear material risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, identifying and mitigating potential threats to material security.
Collaborate with operations, security, and regulatory teams to support safe and compliant handling of nuclear materials.
Assist in developing and conducting training programs for staff on MC&A and safeguards procedures.
Represent the organization during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews by agencies such as the NRC, DOE, and IAEA.
Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and advancements in MC&A technologies and best practices.
