Job Description
Meet HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding, the largest industrial employer in Virginia. The selected candidate will provide physical security to safeguard facilities, personnel, and property, and perform security and safety patrol duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to run, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb stairs and incline/vertical ladders
  • Ability to take and pass a respirator fit test, lift and carry 40 lbs
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions as well as be able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces
  • Ability to work assigned shift as production needs, and flexibility to work a rotating schedule
  • Ability to understand written instructions and have good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to successfully complete written and practical radiological and nuclear security training, and qualify with weapons (handgun and shotgun)
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance within a prescribed timeframe
