Job Description
Fluor is seeking a Nuclear Senior HVAC Design Engineer to join their team. The role involves developing and reviewing estimates and schedules, analyzing material quantities, and applying advanced engineering techniques. The engineer will also participate in procurement activities and provide technical competence to the team. This position plays a crucial role in the design of a new nuclear power plant facility.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder with current or past clearance to work on nuclear projects
  • Experience with nuclear power plant design
  • Experience executing engineering work under an ASME NQA-1 quality program
  • Familiarity with nuclear industry standards and regulations (RG 1.140, 1.143, 1.1400, ASME AG-1, RG 1.26, RG 1.29, RG 1.201, 10 CFR Part 50, 10 CFR Part 52)
  • HVAC load calculations and applied psychrometrics
  • Familiarity with HVAC load calculations, psychrometrics and piping design
  • Knowledge of chilled water and refrigerant piping design
  • Understanding of codes, standards and handbooks (ASHRAE Fundamentals, ASHRAE systems and equipment, ASHRAE refrigeration, ASHRAE application, ICC, SMACNA, NFPA)
