Role OverviewThe nurse will address students' episodic and preventative health care needs to maximize their physical, mental, and athletic participation in the academic setting. The nurse will assist the Director of Student Health Services in completing goals and independently substitute for the Director's daytime shift when needed.
What You Will Do
The nurse will attend to students' health needs, make nursing diagnoses, and triage patients for further care. They will also communicate with parents, faculty, and administrators to coordinate care and notify staff of absences due to health or student status.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and computer skills, be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and frequently climb stairs. Experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing is preferred.
Requirements
- Registered nurse
- Current New Hampshire nursing license
- Current CPR/AED certification for Professional Rescuer
- Valid driver's license
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently climb stairs
