Job Description
The Nurse Manager oversees nursing care in Health Services, ensuring adherence to professional standards, college protocols, and regulatory requirements. This full-time, salaried position provides direct patient care, triage, medication administration, and clinical oversight, alongside recruitment, training, and evaluation of nurses. It requires a commitment to multicultural approaches and collaboration with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Commitment to multicultural approaches to clinical care
  • Commitment to addressing intersections of multiple identities and their related health outcomes
  • Knowledge of the social, psychological, and physical developmental stages of college students
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • 4 years of experience in primary care, urgent care, or similar including program and/or staff supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required with current, or eligible to obtain, Vermont State RN license
  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions: potential exposure to communicable diseases. May need to help patient onto and off exam table. Functions in a fast-paced clinical environment. Able to provide care occasionally into the evening or on weekends, to support student outreach activities, for continuity of care and in management of an acute crisis.
