Role OverviewThe Nurse Manager (RN) - Surgical Services is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care while leading day-to-day operations, staffing, productivity, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This position works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical operations and deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
What You Will Do
Provide 24-hour leadership and operational oversight of the Operating Room and Central Sterile Processing departments. Direct daily OR operations, including surgical scheduling, staffing, workflow coordination, case progression, and patient flow.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or active multistate/Compact RN license with eligibility to practice in Virginia.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent Operating Room/Surgical Services experience within an acute care hospital environment.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, clinical standards, infection prevention, and patient safety.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and hospital leadership.
