Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner in the Cardiology Department provides quality service by performing various functions and technical procedures necessary for the admission of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, stress tests, echos and chest pain (observation patients). The Nurse Practitioner works in conjunction with the Cardiologist to provide consultation to in-patients.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Nursing Degree and completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program
  • New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner
  • Nurse Practitioner National Board Certification in specialty area
  • Current BLS/ACLS/PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association
  • Previous experience relevant to the area of cardiology, and prescriptive privileges in NYS
