Job Description
Role Overview

We're looking for nurse practitioners in the Tampa Bay-Lakeland area to lead longevity days at our partner senior living communities. Each day opens with a short educational talk for residents on healthy aging, using a presentation and speaker notes we provide. You then see the residents who sign up for one-on-one longevity visits.

What You Will Do

Conduct 45 to 60 minute longevity visits built on a comprehensive geriatric assessment, evaluate eligible residents for weight management, and identify residents who would benefit from follow-up care.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You'll be trained and supported by our Chief Medical Officer, a board-certified geriatrician who designed the program's clinical content. Your first site day is run alongside a member of our team.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Florida APRN license as a nurse practitioner from the Florida Board of Nursing
  • Current national NP board certification
  • Active DEA registration and completion of Florida's required 3-hour controlled substance prescribing course
  • Ability to practice under a written protocol with a supervising physician, or registration as an Autonomous APRN with the Florida Board of Nursing
  • Clinical experience caring for adults 65+
  • Experience with Medicare documentation and E/M coding
  • Your own malpractice insurance (minimum $1M per occurrence, $3M aggregate) that covers in-person care, or the ability to obtain it before your first site day
  • Comfort presenting to groups and speaking with older adults and their families
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete each community's onboarding requirements, which may include a background check, TB screening and immunizations
  • Weekday availability for on-site days in the Tampa Bay-Lakeland area, with hours confirmed in advance

Benefits

  • Mileage reimbursement for site days
  • Training from our CMO in geriatric assessment, cognitive tools, and documentation
  • Presentation materials, resident sign-ups, and scheduling handled by our team
  • Flexible contractor schedule, with hours that grow as your calendar fills
