Role OverviewMatrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner NP / Physician Assistant PA to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Yuma, AZ. The role involves reviewing medical history documentation and providing exams to veterans. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s) and complete documentation electronically.
What You Will Do
Review pertinent medical history documentation, provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams, and capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s).
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a Nurse Practitioner NP / Physician Assistant PA with an active and unrestricted license, a master's degree or completed Physician Assistant Program, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
Requirements
- Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Have a master's degree or successfully completed an approved Physician Assistant Program
- Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations
- Must possess basic computer skills
- All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines
