Role OverviewThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a vital role in delivering specialized care and managing the health needs of patients in an outpatient setting. This role involves specialization in stem cell transplant, providing expert consultation within their area of expertise. The APP is integral to supporting patients across the continuum of care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
What You Will Do
Obtains and documents health history; performs and documents complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examination, assessment and plan of care. Orders, performs, interprets and collects data using appropriate assessment techniques and diagnostic procedures. Forms differential diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions, prescribing therapeutic interventions as needed. Initiates appropriate referrals and consultations, and facilitates the patient's transition between and within health care settings.

This role requires a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification. Prior APP experience is strongly preferred. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no holidays or weekends, and is based at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, which performs more stem cell transplants than almost anyplace else in the nation.

- Prior APP Experience Strongly Preferred
- LIC-Licensed Nurse Practitioner - Tennessee, LIC-Physician's Assistant Certified - Tennessee, LIC-Registered Nurse - Tennessee
