Role OverviewThe Nurse Tech 1 provides direct and indirect patient care and performs selected nursing duties and procedures as assigned, preparing for the role of Registered Nurse.
What You Will Do
Duties may include phlebotomy, EKG, procedure tray set-up, assistance in implementation of trauma and cardiovascular protocols, and learning the management of multiple emergency patients.

The Nurse Tech 1 must meet the Emergency Department standards of documentation, show potential for growth and development as a Registered Nurse, and interpret patient requirements relative to age-specific needs.
Requirements
- Will consider a nursing student (RN or LPN) within one year of graduating from an accredited nursing program
- Clinical rotations in nursing program
- De-escalation training
- BLS and ACLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward
