Role Overview

The Nursing Assistant Instructor will work with students beyond the classroom to ensure their success, model CVTC core abilities, and demonstrate commitment to excellence in program/course/training content and delivery. The instructor will maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, online, or summer assignments, as appropriate.

The instructor will plan and instruct courses in the area of Nursing Assistant, design and implement relevant and progressive curriculum, deliver high-quality instruction, and promote student success through timely communication and growth-based feedback.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience as a registered nurse (RN)
  • Current RN licensure in Wisconsin, or ability to obtain prior to teaching assignment
  • Ability to complete the online 'Train the Trainer' course for DHS by the end of the first full week / 5 days of employment
