Role OverviewThe Nursing Professional Governance Organization (NPGO) President serves as the leader and official representative of the UVA Community Health (UVACH) NPGO. The President provides strategic leadership for professional nursing practice, promotes shared decision-making, and collaborates with nursing and organizational leadership to advance nursing excellence, professional practice, and high-quality patient outcomes.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include leading the NPGO, achieving the mission and purposes of the organization, partnering with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), and ensuring processes are in place for ongoing innovation and evaluation of nursing professional practice.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Master of Science in Nursing preferred
- A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or relevant healthcare setting
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Clinical Career Ladder (CCL) level III, IV, or V
- Active participation in a NPGO central or local council/committee required
