Job Description
Join Durham County Government as a Part-Time Nutritionist providing medical nutrition therapy and nutrition services for pediatric patients and families. Conducts in-depth consultation to members of patient care team and provides expert nutrition assistance, consultation, and trainings to medical staff and other allied health professionals.

Requirements

  • Provides medical nutrition therapy for children, particularly medically fragile infants, and young children with multiple medical and nutrition problems.
  • Conducts in-depth consultation to members of patient care team.
  • Initiates collaboration with patient care provider regarding nutritional assessment, intervention and plan of care as needed.
  • Documents Medical Nutrition Therapy in the medical record per agency standards.
  • Communicates nutrition findings/diagnosis, intervention, and plan of care to the referring physician.
  • Completes documentation for billing per department policy.
