Job Description
The press secretary assists with the daily operations of the Communications Division, monitoring and responding to media inquiries, writing and editing press releases, and drafting materials including op-eds, social media content, and talking points.

Requirements

  • Writing and editing press releases
  • Responding to media requests as an on-the-record spokesperson
  • Assisting in preparing and coordinating outreach events, news conferences, and interviews
  • Developing and executing communications, marketing, and strategic policy plans
  • Conceiving and developing public information for print and broadcast products
  • Editing and writing various formats, including talking points, news releases, and electronic media
  • Maintaining knowledge of writing and editing for accuracy and style
  • Providing excellent customer service and working independently and as a team
  • Performing related work as assigned
  • Maintaining relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
