Job Description
The press secretary assists with the daily operations of the Communications Division, monitoring and responding to media inquiries, writing and editing press releases, and drafting materials including op-eds, social media content, and talking points.
Requirements
Writing and editing press releases
Responding to media requests as an on-the-record spokesperson
Assisting in preparing and coordinating outreach events, news conferences, and interviews
Developing and executing communications, marketing, and strategic policy plans
Conceiving and developing public information for print and broadcast products
Editing and writing various formats, including talking points, news releases, and electronic media
Maintaining knowledge of writing and editing for accuracy and style
Providing excellent customer service and working independently and as a team
Performing related work as assigned
Maintaining relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
