Job Description
The Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General of Texas seeks a licensed attorney to perform advanced and/or managerial legal work. The position involves directing, planning, coordinating, and monitoring legal activities, representing the State's interest in civil and criminal matters, and drafting legal documents. The Division provides a collaborative work environment where lawyers help one another while managing their own dockets. The OAG is a dynamic state agency with over 4,000 employees throughout the State of Texas.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited law school with a J.D.
  • Six years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: Consumer Protection, Commercial Litigation, Constitutional Litigation
  • Case management experience or experience managing briefs with federal and/or state courts
  • Licensed as an attorney by the State of Texas
  • Must be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and eligible to practice law in Texas by start date
