Job Description
The Criminal Prosecutions Division of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a Legal Assistant that organizes and coordinates discovery, prepares trial presentations, and communicates with court personnel. Requirements

  • Drafting, responding, and calendaring of discovery deadlines
  • Maintaining case information in electronic litigation support/case management system
  • Assisting in trial preparation, including setting hearings/depositions/meetings and preparing witnesses for trial
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents
  • Researching legal sources such as administrative records, articles, and agency rules and regulations
  • Maintaining calendar/docket, files, case openings and closings
  • Supervising the work of others
  • Maintaining relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
  • Attending work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
  • Ensuring security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
  • Complying with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
